Rush Run Lake is a 37 acre impoundment in southwester Ohio. It is managed as a "trophy" panfish lake and is a fine spot to catch your breath and reconnect with that which is important in life.

The longear sunfish is often mis-identified as a pumpkinseed. This is the most beautiful of all warmwater fishes with delicate markings of vivid blue and orange. A record specimen is almost always under 8", the Ohio state record is slightly under 7". This fish was about 5" long.

Brood X is made up of three species of the Magicicada species. Here is one of the orange-eyed beasties during the 3 week emergence period. Almost every species of fish will key in on this large insect when they are blown to the water by the thousands. Its a fishing opportunity no one should miss!

The Goldfish Deceiver is a fine imitation of an immature carp or goldfish. Small carp are a very important warmwater baitfish species and this fly WILL produce year round. Try it for channel catfish during June and July if you dare!

The original tie of the Adams dry fly featured delta down wings and was designed as a caddis imitation. This traditional tie is a fine warmwater pattern for smallmouth and panfish.
