A rocky mountain whitefish eye. The color, lighting and textures make this a picture I always enjoy looking at.

Taken at a small local river while trout fishing. The rod is a 6pc Loop Blueline #5 and the reel an ATH Gallatin I. The camera a Canon Ixus70. Since the fly at this moment was stuck in a bush, I place it in the "gear" rather than the "fighting" category. Still, it could have been a giant trout at the end of that line. Sometimes I tell myself (and fly fishing friends) that it was.

A diving bug tied from deer hair. This was one of the first flies tied on my new Peak Rotary vice. A really great vice.
