What do you do with a pair of worn out wading boots? Could not bring myself to drop them in a trash can, so left them on this bridge post.

A bad case of tennis elbow forced the use of a 3 wt rod for 2 weeks - with surprising results. This 8lb NZ brownie was the best, with many others down to 5lbs.

It has been awfully quiet on GFF lately, but we're working behind the scenes on some great material for the autumn. During the summer Martin has been busy making books, and you can now buy two volumes chuck full of his beautiful images and support GFF at the same time.

Epoxy Miracle

A wish for a generic bait imitation was what made Kasper Mühlbach develop a fly, which he originally dubbed the Epoxy Triumph; A small epoxied baitfish imitation along the lines of the American tradition.
This fly was since modified a bit, and is now the Epoxy Miracle.

Better fishing pictures: Casting

If you look in casting books, ads for fly lines or just the odd fly fishing magazine, you will often see some fascinating pictures of casting. Lines forming the most beautiful arcs in the air, clearly illustrating one of the mesmerizing things about fly fishing: the beauty of the cast.
