Better fishing pictures: Gear

Martin maintains an archive of fly-fishing images together with a bunch of fishing friends. Nowadays it contains almost 12,000 images, and of those about 1,253 or more than 10% are tagged "gear". They take a lot of gear pictures.

New Stuff

It all started when I had to toss my bottle of Pharamcist's Formula in the trash. Scanning the net for a suitable replacement, I found a husband and wife team that are producing a bunch of interesting products for fly fishers and tyers.

Landlocked Salmon and Lobster

The aim on this trip was to explore and flyfish several rivers in the Moosehead Lake area of northwest Maine, about 50 miles from Quebec. Moosehead Lake is 40 miles long and 20 miles across at its widest. Area rivers, several of which flow into or out of the lake, hold landlocked salmon, large brook trout, and mammoth smallmouth bass.

Casting At Shadows

The video is filmed in exquisite quality and with all the hallmarks of good photography and filming: great composition, great angles, nice rhythm and of course the kind of stunning images you get when filming large and beautiful fish in perfect, tropical conditions.
