The very picturesque Grays River is a tributary of the prolific Tekapo River. The Lupins can be a problem on the backcast.

Spring is a wonderful time to fish the Tekapo River in New Zealand. Californian Poppies, Lupins & White Daisies distract you from the fantastic fishing in the braided river.

There are many thousands of acres of wild Lupins on the river and you get a bit blase about blundering through them.
