"Release" is a graphite sketch of a trout about to return to its aquatic domain. Drawn from a photo taken on the Crystal River in Colorado, the original was donated to a charity auction for children with terminal illnesses.

At long last

GFF partner Martin managed to get his hands on a great new recorder and immediately went fishing and recorded his first podcast in months! The podcast is mostly about that: recording again, but also covers the recently held GFF Summit in Denmark and a few other subjects.

Small Fry: The Lure of the Little

The white perch is actually an anadromous silver bass in the fish family Moronidae. This game panfish is the little cousin of the striped bass and shares much of the same habitat: the brackish tidal estuaries and adjacent rivers of the mid-Atlantic and New England states.

A great book about Victorian Englishmen hunting and fishing in Norway. This edition with the original drawings - with map and fifty-nine drawings on wood from the original sketches by the author, as it says on the title leaf - is global class!
