The very prolific 3lb to 5lb browns & rainbows use the willow root snags & undercut banks to make capture difficult. I landed only 1 fish from 6 hookups.

This size #12 Mayfly Nymph was not what the trout wanted this day. Very small dark coloured #16 & #18's were the go.

This 7cm long Australian Cicada has hatched early this year. Just a few insects can create a deafening song on a hot Summer evening. Large trout cannot resist this easy meal.
