This y is the "Golden Sally" tube fly. The tube I used is a small clear flexible liner tube. I used white 6/0 thread. The body was built using white hackle feathers tied on by the tip and palmered forward to within 1mm from the front tip of the tube. Next, I used golden pheasant cape for the wings and longer strung feathers for the over wing or antennas. The eyes are halographic golden self hadhesive size 3/16" or 5 mm. The head was finished off using Loons UV resin light and set with a laser UV torch. The book is a dry hook size 12. Instead of using a hook tube to fasten the hook to the tube, I heated a scratch awl tip and inserted it into to end of the tube. This process stretched the end of the tube allowing me to set the eye into the tube.

While sitting at my fly tying bench, a house fly was buzzing around me. After I convinced it to stop, I decided to tie one. Here is the "House Fly" tied on my Nor Vise. The materials I used were black thread; black moose hair; small feathers from a Whiting 4B rooster cape and a size 12 eye up Mustad 94842 hook.

This is my "Queen of Hearts". Taken just after I tied it. It is a wet fly tied on a size 6 bait hook. The Queen was tied on my Nor Vise. This fly looks to be suspended in mid air with out benefit of a fly support or prop.

The "Sleek" fly is built on a bait hook size 8. The three barbs were mashed down. I used the fibers from the bottom of two discarded feathers to form the tail and under wing. A Guinea purple feather was palmered forward to form the body. A size small copper wire was used for the rib. I used a pinch of medium Coastal Deer hair as a upper wing giving the fly some flare. It is a wet fly that swims beautifully. The fly sits on a piece of drift wood that resembles a bull's head.

This fly is built on a micro clear plastic tube. It measures 5/8" or 15mm long. The Beetles are floating on the water in great numbers this time of year. I was just sitting at my bench one rainy day and started to tie. This beetle was tied as a result. The next day I fished it and the Bass loved it. It became a very good producer.

This is a photo of a fly I created called the "Crown Prince". It was photographed with my iPhone. The fly was set on a piece of drift wood that has facial character of an animal. It's a unique fly that swims very well.
