The Friends of Monomoy run an occassional and very austere over-nighter in the attached keepers house. Dropped off by boat on the west side of the island, lucky participants hike a narrow path cut through the beach heather and poison ivy...Just over the dunes behind the Light lies the east facing beaches with numerous seal haul outs and solitary surf fishing. It's a very special place and a most unique opportunity not to be taken for granted!

Nauset Beach faces big open water and the structure is always changing...Low tide is time to scout for fishy spots...The flood brings in hungry Stripes and Blues searching for easy good eats...Bars, cuts, holes, trenches and a big sand eel pattern can be the key to catching.
