A picture of a small salmon in Reisa. The fish was a catched by a great friend of mine, Mack Soenen from belgium. I was only happy to get this this picture, wich is one of my favorites from that trip. The picture is taken after middnight, 01.45 to be exact and the date was 8.8.2005.

The Charlie Fly

The Charlie Fly was inspired by the underfur from the originator's Chocolate Lab. Ken Bonde Larsen's dog has unwillingly become the material manufacturer for this great sea trout producer. As it often is with Danish with sea trout flies it's a small, generic pattern.

Wild River Press, the publisher behind this and a other new books, is setting the bar extremely high for the genre of fly fishing information books, where the author doesn't offer a quick overview but rather an in depth master's course. "Fly Fishing for Striped Bass" continues that trend, and in doing so kicks it up a notch. The author simply blew my socks off.
