We had to stop fishing the afternoon caddis hatch to let a rare summer storm pass. Instead I tried to capture the lightning from the porch of our cabin on Hot Creek ranch.

Member of San Jose flycasters lining up at the nets. Most use shooting heads with a wolly bugger. The ladders are to get your b** out of the frigid water and to help you spot the schools of trout cruising by.

Feeding Time

"...featuring some of the most creative and innovative flyfishing footage ever assembled. Nothing like this has ever been attempted in the flyfishing industry". Personally I'd be very careful writing something like that, especially in an era where one stunning DVD after the other hits the shelves.

Fishy art: Thomas Weiergang

Thomas is known from the Danish magazine Sportsfiskeren. At a recent editorial meeting, Thomas brought a bunch of framed reproductions of his drawings, and GFF partner Martin Joergensen immediately grabbed him and lured him into participating in our Fishy Art series.

Atlantic Salmon Magic

Quite an amazing book. Great overview of the skills and techniques used to fish for Atlantic Salmon. Great DVD on Russian salmon rivers in the back. Another winner from Wild River Press.
