This 7cm long Australian Cicada has hatched early this year. Just a few insects can create a deafening song on a hot Summer evening. Large trout cannot resist this easy meal.

We had about 3 hrs fishing before the wind came up. Both large brown & rainbow trout were caught. That bend is in an 8wt rod with 7.5lb tippet with #14 tungsten bead nymph. The fish are landed and released as quickly as possible.
