|Usind a large Dragon fly nymph in rapids just after a waterfall, I caught this 27" 5lb Rainbow using 6X tippet on my 8' 5wt Bamboo fly rod.|

Taken at a small local river while trout fishing. The rod is a 6pc Loop Blueline #5 and the reel an ATH Gallatin I. The camera a Canon Ixus70. Since the fly at this moment was stuck in a bush, I place it in the "gear" rather than the "fighting" category. Still, it could have been a giant trout at the end of that line. Sometimes I tell myself (and fly fishing friends) that it was.

A rocky mountain whitefish eye. The color, lighting and textures make this a picture I always enjoy looking at.
