Since I was fishing in quite a wind whis past weekend I thought that a small talk about casting in the wind was in its place.

Contrary to most fly anglers I actually prefer a bit of wind when I fish, and I have tried to teach myself different ways

Images for this day's podcast
Windy, shallow, dirty - All this and more means rough conditions and challenging casting. These rocks were actually underwater the day before this -- and where we caught the fish.
Windy, shallow, dirty
Nice beach - It might not look windy, but there\'s a strong backwind here -- from the left to the right.
Nice beach
Splash! - Yup, that\'s a fish, and yup, it has my fly in the mouth!
Brrrr...! - One thing about wind and rain: it makes you cold. Wet fingers in the wind get cold really fast.
