Streamers

Section: everything about NE streamers - and more

Martin Westbeek

Tying has become as much a passion for Dutch Martin Westbeek as fishing, and Martin is a regular tyer at shows and fairs in Holland, Germany, Denmark and Britain, and also tied in the USA.

The Bad Beginning

German Kai Nolting caught his first sea trout in his second cast for this silver bullet of the ocean. It would take three years before he caught the second one! In this article he thinks back and analyzes why this happened and draws some conclusions that may help others be a bit more lucky.

Simple Streamers

Ray Bergman is the originator of these three simple mixed wing streamers. The three were included in the updated version of Col. Bate's wonderful book "Streamer Fly Tying and Fishing". The combination of materials, the overall shape and color of the streamers really caught Bob Petti's eye.

My Eyes!!

Painting eyes on streamers is nothing new, but as with any other tying procedure, there are some tricks that can help, and some pitfalls that should be avoided. This article shows you how to do it on-the-cheap with readily available materials.
