Frog Water

Topwater Fly Fishing for Bass in Oregon. There is something very special about wading through the flat, reed-filled water, throwing four inch long, floating frog patterns. The anticipation...waiting for the water to explode, and a football shaped fish to shoot from the water.

Bass fishing is awesome, and it's very different compared to the most of the fishing we do; wading through 4-8ft high reeds, finding open, flat-water slots, is the name of the game.

Enjoy this film, as we chase largemouth bass, in the "Frog Water"

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
