Summer Haze

Summertime is always a great time to enjoy the rivers and get outdoors. The bugs are plentiful and the wildlife is in full force. This is a small compilation of a couple great dry fly fishing days.

Flood Water

Back from a trip to Oregon chasing bucknasty browns, we decided to go see if any local rivers were fishable. Runoff was still in full force, pushing the trout into a side channel that usually runs dry. The rain and overcast skies produced a formula for great fishing and sure enough we once again had a adventure filled day chucking streamers to hungry trout.

Simms Shoot Out 2013 - Bent

Two days to film and one day to edit with the infamous Dan "Rooster" Leavens. All nighters, Monsters, numerous pots of coffee and the constant hum of computers and chargers running at full steam was our daily routine during the 2013 Simms SHOOT OUT film event. Rooster proved his worth bringing in big fish after big fish, with hilarious comments thrown into the mix. Here is our winning Simms Shoot Out film submission, BENT.

Big thanks to Simms for giving us the opportunity to compete against some of the best filmmakers in the industry and an extra special thanks to Rooster, Dayna, Grey, Bubba, and Dave out at the Stonefly Inn & Outfitters (

CCR - "run through the jungle" (instrumental)
Metaform - "it's gotta be"

Everyday on the river is a memorable one. Whether its a day that you catch your biggest fish, or the day that you caught no fish at all. In this short film Zack hooks into a large rainbow, only to have the fish break his line. After a fifteen minute lunch break Zack casts a line into the same hole, looking for redemption.

Solitude - Winter fishing Montana

Solitude might be one of the best things about winter fishing. Often you feel like you would have to hunt just to find another angler. The river takes on a different persona in the winter and it forces you to look just a little closer.
This piece was filmed in one afternoon. It was good to get back behind the camera and just film something and see where it goes. Thanks to Stan for helping with some 2nd angles and we'll be back after it soon!

7 Miles Back

There is nothing better than putting in that extra effort to fish some of the most beautiful waters in Montana. 7-8 miles of nothing but wilderness is always an adventure, but when your packing 30+ lbs of camera gear between two people, it makes it a little more challenging. We set out to capture spunky trout in the clear waters of Montana.

Things got hot in hurry here in Montana, so Travis decided to take an afternoon and hit the rivers. This was a few hours in the Blackfoot Valley fishing for trout on one of many creeks that drain the Scapegoat Wilderness.

Montana Wild Fish Reel 2011

Here is an edit we put together showing some of our best fly fishing footage from 2011 and a recap on our 1st year filming our fly fishing adventures. We were not able to film any fall fishing due to hunting, but expect BIG things for 2012. This is just the beginning.....
