Recapture - a fly fishing film
Recapture shows the importance of Fly Fishing not only as a sport, but also as priceless way to facilitate connections; connections to our environment, each other, and the fish we spend countless hours pursuing. It’s funny; when I look back at my formative years I realize the time we are connected to the fish represent a small drop in the bucket of time.
It’s not the fish, but the intricate web of connections to all facets of life in the social and environmental spectrum that occupies the majority of our time fishing.
That’s what keeps us coming back for more.
In the grand scheme of things, it’s the sights and sounds of our favorite fishery, the friendships, and the community that endures long after a day on the river is over, or the last grain of salt has been washed from our fingertips.
Maybe it’s the thought of the pull that gets us out there initially, but it’s the people and places that make the memory.
