The Knob Job Fly

This fly tips it's hat to John Barr's Meat Whistle and Kelly Galloup,s Tips Up both killing big fish flies in their own right. The Knob Job is tied with a jug hook in front giving the wight and a keel hook behind providing a large hook gap when the popper head is added. Resulting a killing hook hold and a killing fly that can be fished slow across the river or lake bottom. The very fly tied in this video took a 5 pound brown on its first outing. Tight Lines All. Oh the Craft Beer this week was Cocker Hoop from the Jennings Brewery in the Lake District

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
