Litla Flugan
Ívar's Fly Workshop
Here we will be tying the fly Litla Flugan or the Little Fly by my mentor Jón Sigurðsson. The fly is a dry fly and it's really simple to tie. The main catch with this pattern is Arctic char but by and by a brownie will show it some interests too. I use the fly mostly in still-water since it has lack of buoyancy and I'd pick different patterns with more buoyancy for running water. However the fly is great and it works great when the weather gets a little warmer during the midsummer. Totally worth to keep in your box!

Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
