I’m probably one of the first addicts of GFF since the beginnings. Most of my virtual fishing has been made on those “waters” for the last ten years.
I live in Bogotá, Colombia, on the northern corner of South America. We are on the tropic, but here we have many altitude and temperature variations so we can fish from rainbow trout to peacock bass almost all the time.
I’m a lawyer and I work on finances wearing a dark suit and a tie from Monday to Friday, but on weekends and vacations I prefer waders or shorts, depends on the climate. As almost all the fly fishers I know, I’m obsessive, compulsive, passionate, addict, fanatic, fervent and avid for anything about fishing and tying flies.
I really believe we (Fly fishers) have a significant responsibility about the conservation of the waters we fish and enjoy. Fishing, we must admit it, is not the most ethical sport - we play with a living creature which is in risk of dying because of our actions - but I’m convinced that if we are really good users of those waters, fishing and protecting the ecosystem, we can do much more for an environment than anybody else, because we are the most interested on having a clean and healthy place to fish on the future.
I like many other things as writing, painting, cooking, taking photographs, but nothing as fishing and tying flies. I’m not a traditional fly tier, I like to develop my own patterns. I hope I could show you many of them!
Good fishing!

Long story short
Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.
Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
