Originated by: Kevin Kirkelie

Hook: Mustad 9674 #4
Thread: Iron gray 6/0
Tail: Pearl mylar tubing (frayed from body)
Body: Pearl mylar tubing over shaped muffler tape
Wing: White bucktail then peacock herl
Collar: Chartreuse saddle hackle
Head: Iron gray

Notes: While walleye isn't a common target for fly anglers, they will indeed come to the fly. These piscivores can be picked up on streamers and the combination of chartreuse and white can be quite a productive color combination. Kevin uses heavy duty muffler tape to shape the body of the minnow. He cuts a 1/2 inch by 1 inch piece and places the hook shank in the centre. The tape is folded over to adhere the sticky sides together. He trims it to shape, and slides over the pearl mylar tubing. The streamer has a ton of flash in the body, and the marble eyes will find it hard to stay put when it crosses their path.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
