Notes: The Dr. Burke streamer was originated by Dr. Edgar Burke of New Jersey. It was Dr. Burke whose hand was on the brushes that painted the famous fly plates from Ray Bergman's wet fly bible "Trout". The Dr. Burke streamer was first developed in 1927 for use on the Kennebago Stream in Maine and the pattern shares a generous amount of design with Dr. Burke's "Family Secret", a streamer derived from the Dr. Burke. Bob used arctic runner hair for his hair wing version of the streamer. You can find the feather wing version of the streamer posted as #172 in the 2012 Streamers 365 project.
