Tied by: Scott Murdock
Originated by: Scott Murdock
Hook: Daiichi Alec Jackson #3/0
Thread: Black 8/0
Tag: Silver oval tinsel
Body: Silver Doctor Blue floss
Rib: Silver embossed tinsel counter wrapped with silver oval tinsel
Hackle: Whiting spey hackle black
Wing: Green bucktail under dark blue bucktail
Collar: Guinea fowl
Head: Black
Notes: Scott developed the fly by pulling colors from a version of the Campbell tartan called the Campbell Old Sett tartan. The tartan is primarily blue and green with some highlights of black crossed over the cloth. Scott placed the colors on a Spey styled fly using Whiting's wispy Spey hackle. The tartan may also be known as the Black Watch or the Government Sett.

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.
Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
