Spey Lines: Sinking, Floating, Shooting / Long- Short??

Mooching and trolling for salmon in Puget Sound was easy - I need some advice and explanation of all the types of Spey lines available. There are so many brands to choose from our local fishing supply dealers.

I think there are six different types of Spey lines - but under what circumstances do you uses each and how different are the brands between themselves?

The titanium fly reels I am making can be made heavier or lighter than the aluminums- but how do I determine the spooled weight between each type of Spey lines? And which weight or length of rods will be "best fit" for each?

Mooching for 60# Kings off Point No Point was all strength of gear and arms - this is quite different - please help me figure this out.

Thanks

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
