Brown Trout caught on a size 16 Iron Blue dry fly on the River Test in January. It bent the hook but I still managed to bank it.

Thanks for the comment, I was a bit limited with the Canon G5, because it is a compact, albeit with SLR
features apart from the lens, but I now have a 40D with additional lenses so I will be experimenting. The 100mm macro lens makes a good portrait lens as well as the normal macro which I have used to take some insect pictures.

A clear and sharp photograph...but as Bob Capa always said, "the best lens is your feet", and also, if it doesn't look too good, your'e not close enough.
Next time, get the subject to kneel down, move in closer, switch to a 28mm, and get some info in the picture. Alternatively, stay where you are, and stick an 85mm or 105/135/180mm on at shoot with a wide aperture, and blow out the background, and really focus on the subject and fish.
