Golden Trevalley and Tusk Fish Part 2
Here's Part 2 of Golden Trevalley n Tusk Fish. This one is a bit long winded, but I wanted to convey how this battle panned out and that Golden's are one tough fighting fish, especially when they are this big. For your viewing pleasure, a few good captures. It's a shame a client cancelled his trip on this day, so I fished in perfect conditions, and had a really great day. This was the toughest fight a Golden Trevally has ever put me through..... epic you might say. Such an epic battle and long fight, I will remember this day for a long time. The Black Spot Tusk Fish was in perfectly clear and calm water, I was very surprised the fly didn't spook him. Instead he came straight over and ate it!! Fly fishing Airlie Beach / Whitsunday Islands / Great Barrier Reef area. Filmed using GoPro video camera, edited on an Apple Macintosh using iMovie.
Golden Trevalley and Tusk Fish Part 1
Fly fishing Airlie Beach / Whitsunday Islands / Great Barrier Reef area. Filmed using GoPro video camera, edited on an Apple Macintosh using iMovie. Footage provided by Andy Thomsen from andysfishing charters. http://www.andysfishing.com.au For your viewing pleasure, a few good captures. Part 2 has a very epic fight from a 91cm Golden Trevally, you get to see the hook up, the fight, the capture and the release. All in crystal clear water. As requested, Go-So gloves, I prefer the palmless ones so i can feel the line and rod better. They are essential for the amount of time i'm out all day. A few years ago I started getting many spots on my hands that weren't there before, now I use the gloves they are gone again, I feel much better.
