It has a long time since i´ve tried to cast a fly for this fish with no succes...Now, this report gave me new hope.
Here in Brazil we´ve diferent mullets along the shore. In the south, 3000 km from were i am, they seem to catch on anything even a bare hook!! But here at north they are much more selective. But i think the key are small flies and a lot of tryng, again and again...
hi steve, you mentioned winged version. do you tie the wings together with the foam ie just behind the foam stil keeping the foam on the fly

When I bring up this series of pages the photo's of the slinky set up and photos of the reel and Maxima 27 yard reels are on the left side of page and cover up the writing?
i have this rod. its a verry nice rod. i hope that he bring me a lot of fish . the rod have a verry nice look.

Str is short for storrelse in Danish, which simply means size (hook size in this case).

I'm very impressioned by yours full dressed claassic salmon flies! I never seen perfection in ever little particolares like this ones. Simply the best that i've seen so far! best regards.
I have had success yanking motors from microwave ovens - the motor that turns the turntable works very nice and they can be had for free at the transfer station (aka: junkyard). The only advantage/disadvantage is mounting will vary and you will have images of bacon rather than disco sartorial nightmares.
I'm not very familiar with a brown trout with a green back and pink stripe down its side but i must be wrong.

I have been flyfishing for about three years and most of that time I have fished dry flies, Just this year I started fishing wet flies and I have enjoyed it tremendously and have had some good luck. I hope other unseasoned flyfisherman like myself give it a try.

Martin, thanks for your answer. I have had an oppurtunity to see danish DVD about mullet, so it had to be good fight on 5-6 rod. Thanks for the image of the fly, it is really interesting to use tube body for such kind of fly.

I`m from Argentina. My city is 1500 km from Patagonia so it isn`t very accesible go there every day, but in summer we have a lake full of mullet. I've tried to fish them on a fly but it is quite imposible. Fishers cath them only with cow heart as bait!!!! Only red colours foll this fish. I`ve trie with red flies but i have no answers. What fly do you recomend me???I`m going crazy!!!!

I used a green (chartreuse) tube fly, which I had tied up the same afternoon I had a lot of strikes on that fly. I fished it on a 9' 5-6 wt. rod.
