A nice fly,but in my neck of the woods(U.S.),we would call it a wolly worm, either way nice simple fly, that works in both still,& moving waters, tight lines,& bent rods.
Please send me a link to purchase this item, this pattern perfectly matches the caddis larva I saw while fishing yesterday.
Thanks.
Bala
Nice looking flies! I liked it a lot but I have not had the chance to try it out as yet.
I will be in Oman around Feb 1-3, how do I find a fly fishing guide in Oman or is there any? Do u guide? I would appreciate any contact info.
Great job on developing the hopper & presentation! Will be tying some up for the Summer.
I saw this pattern from a friend who got it from this site. So I tied some on a size 12 hook to try on trout and it works great on brown and brook trout.
This is a great steelhead fly,I fish northeast ohio for steelhead,This is the top color for steelhead here,Thanks for showing this fly.
Hello Paul,
Thanks for the nice comment on the reels.
I am not using special O-rings, just a good quality from a tooling company in my own town.
The size is changing with the reel I design, so there are no special sizes, you must choose a diameter of the shaft in your design and then the diameter of the o-ring. Then you make sure that the O-rings protude only about 0.05 mm .
That is done when you make the grooves in the shaft. Buy the O-rings smaller in diameter then the shaft diameter.
Be carefull when making the grooves.
Best regards,
Tom Biesot.

Hello all;
John, thanks for your comment and addition of the English Ace of Spades. I was unaware of the pattern name at the time, and created my version independently.
Thanks to each of the rest of you for your comments and compliment! I appreciate it!
I have a need to perform some "touch dubbing", and I found this post. As a formulation chemist, I would approach making dubbing wax a little differently. But I don't have prior experience with "Wonder Wax" to guide me, but here goes. For the stickiness, I'd start with liquid pine tar...the kind baseball players use. You can get a few ounces for $4. The toilet wax seems fine, but I might recommend thinning it with mineral oil (any drug store). Mineral oil is liquid paraffin. But maybe olive oil is just fine. Proportions? Well, I'd mix the wax and mineral oil to get the right consistency first. Then I'd add the pine tar a little at a time until I got the right tackiness. I just may do this...
There's always south-east Jutland/Jylland.
There are some pretty fantastic areas from Kolding Fjord down to Hejlsminde, Anslet, and Genner Bugt.
I have fished almost the entire stretch, over many years and would pretty much say that as long as you can find a suitable stretch of water, you'll find sea trout.
Happy hunting.
hello, I like your article, I am also sea bass fisherman. I practice this technique in France in Normandy near Cherbourg with my boat.
Unfortunately, this is a fish Menasse overfishing in our waters.
hope to see you read
