When you get home from hospital, sit down, listen to Schubert's Trout Quintet, pour yourself your favourite drink and open up a copy of J R Hartley's 'The Art of Fly Fishing' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._R._Hartley) I challenge you to feel anything other than relaxed and smiling.

Fishing provides that connection with the whole living world. It gives you the opportunity of being totally immersed, turning back into yourself in a good way. A form of meditation, some form of communion with levels of yourself that are deeper than the ordinary self.
