There are probably several people who will fish Friday, and I'm sure that you will have company. Regarding a location, Ripley will be the right person to ask. There are other locals on our list, and I will rely on them to answer you.

Fyn is a good place to fish because there is always a place, which can be fished - almost no matter the wind.

I will post my own plans for the Friday when I get more details on the logostics of the weekend, but I also expect to do some fishing before we meet at the hostel.

What a shame on me..... sleepless night in Amsterdam is a reason... originaly I was planing to come on thursday . That is why i had some concerns regarding accomodation from thursday to friday.

Now my plans are changed and I am coming on Friday and hostel is already booked , so no need to warry.

Me and Mindaugas are in the list and tomorrow we will transfer 1400DK for both of us ..

Sorry for a mess.

Where are you from? If you go through this forum and look at the titles you will see several threads about fishing for odd species with a fly. Channel Catfish and Carp are my two best non-typical fly rod species so far.

There are more beds available there, and you can probably still fit in in one of our 8-bed rooms. We're 27 in thos rooms and a little math says that there must be... ehr... 5 beds available. If you or your friends need that, please let me know ASAP. We closed the booking a long time ago, but I might still fix something.

This time last year I was catching some fine trout and this year seems to be no different.
Just 2 hours in the salt gave 5 trout, all coloured but fat fighters.
Smallest 45 and largest 57cm.
Looks like I'm going to bag a few hundred before you lot arrive - again!!!!!

What you see is what you get:
- A lined Bidoz aluminum tube, 15mm
- Black tying thread 6/0
- A short purple wing of Arctic fox
- A grizzly hen hackle

You can vary the color of the wing. A favorite of mine is the Orange Inkspot.
Fish it with a piece of plastic tube and a very small treble hook.

In fact I know this book - I have it. German is no problem because this is where I come from...

Well the book is informative but I wanted to get some special tips for winter fishing. And you will find such informations not in this fishing guide. These "Rapsbande-books" do not give a detailed impression from the fishing spots - that's what I think. I have a few of them and I think they are perfect for beginners but I can not really get some information out of it which I did not know before. Perhaps this is why I fished there a few times - but not as I am going to - in the winter.

Small world eh? Thanks. I fish them in deeper water or in stronger currents. Worked quite well. The wire is Ultra Wire, size SM, the hooks are size 14.

Long time no see :-). Positively great looking flies! Very delicate, and yet heavy - a difficult combination to obtain :-). Do you fish them the same way as "normal" Spiders?
Now I must go and get some colored wire and tie some myself :-).

Greetings from a wading equipment fanatic!

I've been flyfishing for over thirty years and have run the gauntlet on shoes and waders. I am now wearing either Chota STL Plus boots or LL Bean Aqua-Stealth Studded depending on what river and how much hiking I'am doing. The LL Beans last forever, are great for long hiking to the stream, and really adhere to everything except severe slime! The Chotas are super everywhere, especially on slime and moss but don't give the high ankle support on really long-long jaunts through the boonies to the river. I fish the Deerfield, Westfield, Housatonic, and Swift rivers in Western Mass., also several rivers in Maine and northern N.H., and these two combos of boots really fit the bill. I gave up on regular felt a long time ago because of the short life-span. The type of poly-felt that chota uses, and the sticky rubber that Bean uses lasts a super long time. I really give boots a workout. I fish almost every week including through the winter depending on the weather, and do a lot of long brush wacking to get to my spots. I highly recommend these two boots.

Well, the fact of the matter is...
There are so many sea trout around at the moment due to the mild summer, cooler weather and low sea temperatures that it looks like it will be a bumper GFF summit - just like last year.
I'll try not to catch them all before you guys arrive!!!

The best remover of glue residue from labels, on any surface is normal cooking oil. Apply over label or residue, leave for 10 minutes and wipe off.
