I had a cat for "22" years that behave like a good trained dog, it was waiting for me in the hall when I came home and when I was doing something in the house or in the garden he was always with me.
I have never take him with me fishing, but he was a serious fishing cat in the garden pond!!!!!

What a nice dog. I took one of mine fishing and she barked and barked. Scared all the trout. I did take Catonna to the Delaware and went through the drive through at McDonalds . She got a burger with no fixings and sucked it down. Every time we go by now, she cries and wants a burger! She has been to the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and has been on the Beaverkill. Catonna has a fishing dog collar with trout on it. My border collies are too crazy to take fishing or in my boats. Although Sam was in the Adirondacks and went down by the river with me.

Hi Aaron. Really enjoyed your Caribbean Do-It-Yourself article I found on fisherman's coast and the shorter one on Grand Bahamas. I am brand new to saltwater fly fishing but familiar to freshwater, totally catch and release, really excited to give saltwater fishing a try. Heading to Freeport Grand Bahamas in March and hoping to do some DIY fishing from shore. Any particular information regarding fishing in the Freeport area would be much appreciated. Advice on choice of fly for that area (I have been told of a spot where yellowtail are often caught), tips on do's and dont's regarding catch and release with saltwater fishing. Stainless hooks (vs freshwater hooks) worry me a bit as they will potentially be more difficult for fish to get rid of if they break the leader, etc. I have a saltwater compatible reel and rod but do I need a saltwater line if I am prepared for to use it later as a practice cast line? Thanks again for the article, definitely best I have come across so far. Pat

I've also had touble finding the spine of many of the modern blanks on the market today, and I've found that the spine isn't as improtant as to how straight the rod is. The rod will not be totally straight, put the first two section together and roll it on a flat surface, I try to put the guides on either top or bottom of the ``Wobble´´after I've rolled it. With todays modern blanks the spine isn't as important, as if your tip section is going off the the left or right.
Just how I do it.

No its not so hard to tell you which knot I use, it might be a little more diffacult to explain it though:-) I use a Double Turle Knot, (also got this from Henning) you will find many instruction videos on the internet. The only difference is, is that on the internet the instructions are for attaching hooks, and the hook passes through the double loop on the last step. We make the double loop around the shooting head at the beginning, so that it doesn't need to pass through. I hope that isn't confusing.
I have also used an Albright knot, Cinch knot, Needle knot, and at the beginning I used a loop to loop connection. All worked fine, the only thing that is important to me, is that the knot is attached on to the shooting head loop, not on the end of the loop, to avoid hinging. I also have my favorite shooting head permently attached to Amnesia using a Needle knot.

The reason I'm asking is because I am building a 4pc rod and have been told it is crucial. But I am having trouble finding a reliable method to do it.

I have fiddled with the donation option and set up a test page, and it's still on the tab. But the ads do give more money now and will cover most expenses, so right now they will stay. But it's not like the money are rolling in and weekly revenue is already declining, so depending on the development, they might disappear again.

This pattern is from long time before there were any UV resins available, and it wasn't an option. There was basically epoxy and hot glue, and hot glue isn't bad to work with, sets quickly and doesn't sag nearly as much as epoxy. And you can get sticks with color and/or flash in them.
I used resin for this one and I'm sure Henrik does the same nowadays.
