Hook: 3xl streamer hook

Thread: Black 70 denier

Tail: 2 sections of married goose or swan yellow, blue then red

Body: Flat silver tinsel

Ribbing: Fine oval silver tinsel

Throat: Yellow hackle

Wing: 4 ginger badger or furnace hackles

Shoulder: 2 sections of married goose or swan yellow, blue then red. Should be thin and extend about 2/3 the wing length.

Eye: Jungle cock nail

Head: Black

Notes: The Lord Iris is one of the flies originated by Preston Jennings to immitate the colors of minnows as they appear by the breaking down of light passing through a prism. The married wing and tail make this a distinctive pattern and a challenging streamer to tie for the neophyte. It's clear, judging by the Patent submitted by Mr. Jennings that he took a serious scientific approach to creating his streamer designs.
