Happy New Year from Streamers 365!
It has been another amazing year sharing streamers with the dedicated. It's been a wonderful privilege to be able to photograph and share the group of hair wing streamers over the year. We had over 150,000 visits to the site over the year. Most of the visitors come from the United States with Canada and Finland coming in close behind. the year seen us present another 100 streamers tied by streamer enthusiasts from around the world. I'm hoping to put together Streamers 365 Volume 4 for release in the first half of 2014. The talented Les Booth will be creating the cover art of the next book. I can hardly wait to see it.
So, what does 2014 hold in store for Streamers 365?
You'll be happy to hear that we will continue to bring an offering of streamers from fly tyers around the world. 2014 will see the format of the streamers change a little, and rather than trickle out a streamer every couple days, we will be presenting individual fly tyer's collection of patterns all at once. There is not hard fast theme for the year, and so we expect to see flies in many styles represented. Feather-wing, hair-wing, Spey and Matuka's are all expected to make an appearance. 24 fly tyers are expected to take part in the 2014 project. There are currently 23 tyers signed up to participate, and one spot remains open. If you are interested in taking part, you can get in touch with Darren MacEachern at streamers365@gmail.com. I can also add your name to a waiting list in case a spot opens up.
2014 Tyers List
Expected to contribute flies this year are Alan Grombacher, Amanda Mackenzie, Barry Phillips, Bill Chandler, Bob Frandsen, Bob Petti, Darren MacEachern, Dave Lomasney, Deryn Lacombe, Don Bastian, Eunan Hendron, Gary Fraser, Jim Bennett, Jim Malo, Kevin Kirklie, Larry Leight, Loretta Parent, Marcelo Morales, Mike Martinek, Peggy Brenner, Ron McKusick, Scott Murdock and Steve Labreque.
All the best in 2014, let's bring on the streamers!
