$Underwool - Some deer hair patches have lots of underwool. If the hair quality is good, it\'s no disaster, but you will have to comb it out before stacking and/or spinning the hair.$

$Close to perfect - This hot orange dyed bucktail has flat, large skin patch and regular, long hairs, and is close to perfect. It\'s easy to select and cut hair, and they need no further treatment.$

$Messy bucktail - Notice how the skin on this tail has curled, and wasn\'t stretched before drying. The hairs are curled and messy, and selecting and cutting good hair is really only possible in the center and the top edges while the base is totally messed up. This tail was bought through mail order. I would never have bought it in a store.$
