Hello Everyone,
Well I plan on leaving Leverkusen (Germany) at around 6am.... it is a good 6 or 7 hour drive, so I hope to arrive somewere at around 13:00 (I have never been in Denmark....not even close to be honest, so I hope to meet up with someone who knows their way arround on Friday..)
BTW... I am still looking for someone who wants to Car pool from Germany/Belgium/Netherlands..... it is a very long way to drive alone ....
I am quite flexible when it comes to timing...so if you are interested, give me a shout.
Ruan,

Thanks for the advanced preparations Ripley (especially the preloaded cages).
I will be coming up from south Jutland friday morning, and heading towards Weddelsborg, if anybody needs a lift from that directions, send me a mail.
Look forward to seeing everyone again.

Hornyhead Chub?
Again, Wedellsborg has kindly granted the GFF event use of the grounds.
This will be a permanent thing as long as basic rules are followed.
The Wedellsborg grounds are open between 08:00 and 17:30 for GFF '08 participants. Not before then.
You may only park at the same place as last years event and if you can - share a car, use space to avoid traffic.
Basics...
Do not block any forest track or exit.
Drive slowly.
Make way for all forest traffic.
Treat the forest as if it's your own garden.
Rubbish / litter poeple! Carry it in, carry it out.
Be good people.
Take a camera - The grounds are "choka-blok" with deer, sea eagles, hawks, buzzards, rabbit and other foresty critters.
If asked, you are with the GFF '08 party and permssion is granted by the District Leader and Skovfoged / Forest Ranger KIM BECH. Mention my name also.
Count Wedell will have some royal guest V.I.P's that weekend, so this year we have to display a GFF permission sticker in the car windows for reasons of security.
Cars without one, will be towed of the premises this year.
Martin, has the details about the car stickers or notes - I hope?
I'll be there - as always - 08:00-ish.
Later

Where can I order this vise head and how much is it. Thx Kevin
Of course its a nice gadget, but a needle and a wooden handle is all you need.
Recommendations: use ''silk-dub'' as dubbing material and ''colle photo'' as glue.

Excellent action photograph! I do not even mind the noisy effect. Just a tiny comment I´d make concerning the line crossing the anglers face...however, the overall impression is Global class for me.

Cenc,
Click the image to go to a page with a full recipe for the fly - including the leg material, which is barbs of brown-grey partridge hackle.
Martin
nice shrimps, what u use for legs?
The fish are here.
Remember GFF '07?
So far, conditions are better and the last 3 weeks have seen great results.
I had to put out new cages of fish and hire 3 new divers to move the fish around.
REMEMBER THE GFF '08 CAR STICKERS OR NO ENTRY! (talk to Martin about that).
LES...Still want the B&B? Confirm dates, contact me...
All is sorted for you and Nan.
Rolandas, Svieki! ALUS, ALUS, ALUS! Remember it...Iki !

Well, I am sad there will be no tee shirts, but as long as Ripley's promise that the fish are in place holds good, it will be a wonderful event again. Bring it on!
Les :) See you all soon

Hi Lino.
I have been using the Loop CLW 5eight for three years now almost without problems. The only problem I have with it is that the handle has corroded a bit, which means that the handle doesn't run as smooth as it could when reeling in line. That however, is probably due to me not having rinsed it properly. I can only recommend the reel. Luckily I can say that it also handles large fish very well. 😉
