This is excellent reference material. Would it be possible for some one to write some pieces on how to make the best use of something like a hare mask, wood duck skin, etc.?

I am looking to fix a 15ft salmn rod and dont know where to find the cork
can you please help in suggesting a supplier
it would definitly be a light olive czech nymph, medium weighted. A really buggy flie that will catch all from small ´predators (perch) to grayling and whitefish.
Hi Ron,
What part of Denmark will you be staying in, and at what dates in June will you be there?
would like to know the web site for danish shop korsholm. would like to order some color tubing for tube flies.

Hi,
I have looked at these leaders and have made my own with a slight variation.
Instead of having three hooks at the top I put two at the top and one at the bottom. After laying the loops for the first side of the leader I then carry on up the second side without breaking off the mono.
It does mean that although you can put 3 lengths in the first loop you have to have 5 lengths in the second and finally 5 lengths in the third loop (this does give a marginally steeper butt).
Wind the two sides in the same direction and then put them both on the same clip. The leader will then twist up as before but there is no need for a shorb loop on the tipped end.
Best regards,
Ian

I will be visiting Denmark in June 2008, I live in Post Falls Idaho USA. I would like to find Information or secrets on catching the brown trout in Denmark. I will host fisherman from Denmark in trade for information. We have excellent Rainbow fishing here. Record in our lake Ponderay is 36.4 pounds. Would appreciate feed back. Ron Boles 1-208-661-3919
The link at the bottom of this article appears to be broken, or East Branch lost their domain name.
I know this situation: the day before tying flies with a bottle Absinth & next day enjoying the blue sky :-)
Hopefully, we´ll get some treat later this year. I really believe this year´s awfull winter was only to escalate our burning desires for better spring and summer fishing :) See you out there soon!
Hey folks,
Thank you all for your good comments!
Meanwhile I've spoken to a lot people about "The bad beginning" and now a view offered me that they nearly came the same way.
If I had known earlier, that this way is more general, it probably were a bit easier to reach the turn around!?
So I wish you tight lines for the upcoming season - where ever you stay!
Kind regards
Kai
your great looking flie, from now is tied in denmark :) hope it brings me some nice rainbows as well, as for you.
Thigt line Claudia.
I'm coming to South Africa to fish for Yellows in April. I found this article to be very informative in preparing for my journey.
Good evening,
Colouring expoy is easy !
Just go to any fibreglass trade shop and ask for a colour, there is about 50 or so different colours.
Sometimes even the colour pastes for polyester...fibreglass work beautifully.
Kind regards,
Uncle Barry
This is really helpful. I am a returning SH fisherman who has formerly only used single handed SH lines. Now I am looking to increase my distace by speycasting sh lines and am putting together a few outfits made from old DT lines and airflo running line (looped already) and some floating hollow nylon running lines. Is the nail knot the best option for permenant connections (covered with varnish or aquasure)? I suspect my hollow running line will slip unless I heat the end to make a bump or roughen it slightly to create some friction- not too keen on this one! Any advice welcome.
Yours,
David
Good evening Pete,
I don't know how to express myself enough,
Your Double Tube idea is perfect........ I think describes it best.
Of all the items on this site, to me this is it !
Your double tube has changed my ideas and thinking for both the salt and the freshwater for ever.
So simple, its been there all the time, but I never saw it.
And as a bonus the fly will ride vertical always.
Many thanks again for changing my fly World.
Kind regards,
UB
By far the best Christmas present I have ever received or given. Next installment please
And you can also come to Czech republic to practise the technique witl local flyfishers. Without guide with good relationships with local authorities, you are totally lost because it is very difficult to obtain fishing permit and fishing license. If you are interested, see following link:

I have been fishing in Denamrk 5times and it is huge difference and I really like it. We should take your country as an example.
… I have a small favor to ask.
Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
