Tie the materials on the thinner 'bottle neck' end. It will help if you place some varnish/glue on this area before wrapping the start of your tying silk, as otherwise the silk wraps may spin, and this method gives additional security of the silk to materials anyway.

Might release

Casting with three heavy nymphs might release the cone and as a result, indicator slides down.
However with a perfect fitting cone and the indicator built on a softer tube, you are able to lock
the leader pretty hard. I have occasionally used three heavy nymphs with the foam version, done my casts with care and used a full flex rod (slower motion); no problem.
On the yarn indicator, please be careful not to spill floatant on the cone, this will reduce the friction when trying to lock the indicator to leader.

This pattern has become my go to pattern. It has taken many fish from brown trout on Central Ohio, Rainbows in the Smokys, to Great Lakes Steelhead. You can't buy it and any shops and not many folks know about it. My fishing buddy and I never give out the pattern name or recipe. It is our secret weapon and hard fished waters. Sure you could add a tail, but why? The fly works as it is and requires no thread or tying. A tail may look nice to us, but the popping action is fine without and the fly much easier to make without.

I'm almost embarassed to say: but I have a bunch standing in a box on the floor in my bedroom, and never got any further with my plans to sell them on the site. Getting the payment here isn't that easy. PayPal surcharges like crazy for all transfers and makes life a mess if you're not drawing out your money in the US and I have failed to find alternatives. And work has been hell... and the weather... and the fishing... and... ;-) No, honestly: I have just been busy.

Will see what I can do and will consiider any suggestions and ideas from you people.

Undone with heavy nymphs?

I am going to try these on short term. For fishing for winterrud in the Dutch Harbours, we use long leaders up to 14 feet and reeling a fish in gives problems with ordinary strike-indicators which can't pass the top eye.
However, doesn't it come undone when casting a threesome of heavy nymphs? I am affraid that it will slide during casting?

It seems to be full of grayling with a few brownies. Popular flies from what I've read seem to be the normal grayling flies e.g. parachute dries, PTN's, czech nymphs etc. Good allround flies seem to be Red Tag, Black Gnat. All flies in various sizes from 12 to 18.

I forgot to mention

I forgot to mention in the podcast that the real name for "RS2" is "Rim's Semblence 2". Rim Chung named it such since the fly didn't resemble an actual insect but merely a resemblance of one. Just a clarifying note to some of my discussions in the podcast...
