It seems to be full of grayling with a few brownies. Popular flies from what I've read seem to be the normal grayling flies e.g. parachute dries, PTN's, czech nymphs etc. Good allround flies seem to be Red Tag, Black Gnat. All flies in various sizes from 12 to 18.

I forgot to mention

I forgot to mention in the podcast that the real name for "RS2" is "Rim's Semblence 2". Rim Chung named it such since the fly didn't resemble an actual insect but merely a resemblance of one. Just a clarifying note to some of my discussions in the podcast...

I like to tie my muddlers with a much smaller head and longer, sparser body to pulsate when retrieved.

i will add that it is common to use strike indicators that are fluorescent orange or red, which might indeed frighten the fish in clear shallow water conditions, but i am beginning to experiment with painting them white instead as this may resemble foam or other detritus already normally present in the water and should be nearly as visible as red.

Tube system

can you recommend some certain tube system that I can start working on? for example, do the eumer tubes work like legos so i can just swap different bodies and cones? I have been using the eumer ball tube which I don't see on the site with very much success... this tube works so that you can tie it either way and make some very nice flies.

What is up with the No Shows and stand ups? I'm going to be in Oahu in Jan 08, the good Lord willing, and almost called Nervous Waters but now am a little "nervous" myself. By the way, Dave Hill isn't going to be in Hawaii this season, FYI, (unfortuneately, because when I booked a trip/spoke with him, he seemed like a great guy.) He put me in touch with Greg Moss for my trip and he has been great to work with and very mellow, unlike some keys guides that have yelled at me over the years ha-ha! For me, an education while enjoying mother nature in paradise is a lot more fun than waiting for a no show guide. Any thoughts?

I think I will be near the town of Koppang that's on road 30 or somewhere near that area i guess. Do any of you know of little campins around that area that are really worth visiting. I know Koppang Camping is in hands of a Dutch couple, but staying with locals is much more fun.

Every time I use the idiom in a conversation with people not from southern Africa, they look puzzled.

If you find out roughly where on the Glomma you'll be fishing, then I can give you better answer regarding fly choice.

I'm not sure as to how you'll be getting over to Norway, but there goes ferries from Denmark both to the south and the east. If you take the one to the south, eg Kristiansand, I'm 40 min west from here.
