We do this for fun!

Not for money. Not for fame (well, maybe a little). Not out of duty.

For fun!

I'm the main character here, providing a lot of content, editing most of the contributed articles, running the technology behind the site plus a few more odds and ends.
- Martin Joergensen, Denmark
You can always contact me at martin@globalflyfisher.com

There are currently three more guys occasionally contributing to the site as partners:
- Bob Petti, USA
- Steve Schweitzer, USA
- Kasper Muehlbach, Denmark/Sweden

Last but not least you will find the man behind the Streamers section, who unfortunately drifted away from the site a while back:
- Bob Skehan, USA

We're just plain fly fishermen and fly tiers like the rest of you.

We write about stuff we want to - and stuff we guess you want to read about. We cover patterns, fly tying, fishing methods, DVD's and books and gear. Most of the things we show are things we do ourselves or own ourselves. We do get review copies of books and DVD's, but it's not like a never ending fountain of packages at our doorsteps. Mostly we have to say "please!" quite a few times to get our hands on things and oftentimes we have to buy it ourselves... which we do... a lot.

We have a bunch of people helping us with content and usually provide space for anyone with anything interesting to say. So if you want to be a part of the "GFF family", just let us know. We work with pros as well as amateurs and aren't deeply concerned with your level of writing or photography as long as you have something relevant and interesting to tell.

There is a whole section with articles about the site.

If you produce books, art, films or other things, you can also participate in other ways.

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
