Notes: During the 2006 run for hockey's Stanley Cup, I was struck with Oilers fever. The team came into the first round of playoff action just barely eking out an 8th place finish in the Western Conference. I spent many late nights cheering the team on, and had been on the edge of my seat for weeks while the games played out. A friend of mine had given me a small amount of Gray Peacock Pheasant, and I immediately though of using it to represent the "Oil Drop" in the Oilers logo. Sadly, the oilers lost in the finals, but their grit and determination was awe inspiring. This is one of my earlier long streamers, and even though I tied this early into my streamer addiction, it is still one of my favorite flies. I hope that you enjoy this "art fly".
