This streamer is one of my favourites for late-summer and autumn fishing, especially when targeting big trout. It imitates small baitfish that have developed stronger colours during the summer.
When tying this pattern, one of the most important things is to use high-quality zonker strips with dense, soft and elastic fur. This helps the streamer maintain a nice profile and gives it plenty of natural movement once the fly gets wet.
