The adams is one of the most popular dry flies. Generally it is tied with grizzly and brown hackle, this one only uses grizzly hackle to mimic a mosquito. Also the adams is most popular in a size 14 hook, but I tie this a bit smaller in a size 18. If you live in area's with really small mosquito's then you can tie up to a size 22 as well. Having a double hackle, this fly floats very high and works well for fast moving water. You can use only one hackle for slower moving water if you want.

Thread: Ultra thread 70 denier in gray
