Shipped direct to ME from the BRIGHTEST spot on the DARKEST Continent...
The parcel found my porch and I have NO "buyer's remorse"... NO regrets... Jay hit a home run!!!
These are the Standard Jaws... 'Holds hooks tenaciously!
The well conceived Tube Fly Conversion lends quick access to the path less travelled here in these parts...
The Pro Jaws... Pit Bull holding power...
the graceful taper is well suited for tiny hooks but works phine on BIG ones too...
Standard Jaws... Pro Jaws... Tube Fly Conversion...
Hangin' around in the cool shade with the black 'n white Lucy Phur, a cold Tennent's Lager,
and my J-Vise set on "lap mode"...
Life could be a lot worse!
'Every day is Saturday and Daylight Saving Time is ALWAYS in effect at Area61!!!

Pete,
That looks like one piece of tool!
So combined with your LAW you should have vice supplies for about three lifetimes!

Martin... Can't complain!!!
Got 'em side by side and I'm workin' on on a scheme where I can tye two phlyz simultaneously [ambidextrous?!]...
Sort'a like having a really good endless cigar AND a bottomless bottle of world class adult beverage... NO worries!
'Next step... tyin' in the dark or with my eyez closed... weshallsee!
Honestly... both feel like comfortable shoes and there are NO issues to divert what little attention I still have left...
The J-Vise is getting better with every tye and I've been talking with Jay the ViseMeister about adding a tilt capable knuckle on the shaft...
'similar to the Law set-up but hand crafted in the brightest spot on the darkest continent by an engineer artist who enjoys what he does...
Life is GOOD!
'photos at eleven...
Once upon a time, a Prince asked a
beautiful Princess... "Will you marry me?"
The Princess said "NO!"
And the Prince lived happily ever
after and rode motorcycles and
went fly fishing and bought outrageous
fly tying stuff and went hunting and
played golf and dated women half
his age and drank beer and scotch
and had tons of money in the bank
and left the toilet seat up and farted
whenever he wanted.
The End. _________________ PeteGray

It's nice being able to converse with the ViseMeister and soon find the result
on the front porch in the company of penguins...
I like to tweak... and came up with a few what if's...
Jay set me up with a second shaft that sported a custom tilt-able "knuckle head"
that allows for a variable angle of attack...
the standard fuselage is attached to that...
add the jawz or tube fly conversion and away ya' go... NICE!
the classic "J" removed...
the tube fly conversion... TUBULAR! EASY!...
being able to tilt the head worksforme... I find the variable angle of attack to be more comfortable...
Jay is an engineer and an artist... His work speaks for itself!
'another "option"... the pedestal/desk stand attached to a curious wooden base
of my own choosing...
there are some interesting and affordable cutting boards out there on the cheap...
the stand will accept any standard vertical shaft without complaint...
I LIKE IT... A BUNCH !
