Let’s support Davie McPhail

Scottish fly tyer Davie McPhail posted something on Facebook that I think deserves a bit of attention.

Davie McPhail is one heck of a fly tyer. He shows that clearly several times a week on YouTube where his fly tying channel has more than 50,000 subscribers. I share his videos loyally every time he posts a new one, and they are always instructive and great to watch.
Here on the Global FlyFisher we host more than 400 of his videos and they are among the most popular on our channel and accounts for a good part of the views we get.
Today Davie posted something on Facebook, which I think deserves being shared.
He pointed people’s attention to the fact that he has a donate button on his YouTube channel. I never noticed and never thought about it, but the fact is that he spends a lot of time producing great free content, which I as well as a lot of other people enjoy.
I have no idea why he did it today. He may in need of money. He may just want a nickel and a dime for his work, which is more than reason enough for me.
So if I can help a bit by showing people the way to the very discrete link, then I will. Find the link on this YouTube page, click it and spend a little money on supporting McPhail.

Just started tying flies. I was introduced by a friend (a great fly tyer also)to McPhail. Great Vids!
sent him a donation.

The donate button can be found under the home tab on the YouTube Channel. I consider Davie mcphail the Ronaldo of fly-tying, and his videos help thousends of Tyers to raise their game, worth a donation!

Martin,

Have been watching Davie for years and telling many students in many classes to watch his videos. Did not even see the "Donate" link. I'll send Davie a note to make it BIGGER. Just sent a donation. Well worth it.

Thanks for bringing this to a fans attention!

Ian
