The Patience Game

This foggy November day I'm out scouting for rainbows, and even though the podcast starts out with no real subject, it turns into a podcast about patience. And I play the patience game with the fish that aren't there. I finally manage to find a school of small fish. My good friend Nils, who joined me that day, proves that the fish were there. While I was just around a bend fishing, he caught a huge rainbow - probably weighing in at 10-12 lbs or 5-6 kilos and measuring a whopping 65 centimeters or some 25 inches. I only saw the picture but it must have been fun to land on a 5 wt!

Feridun,

I happen to know what fly Nils used: a small (#10) black Zulu-like fly with a brass bead - black marabou tail, peacock herl body and black front hackle. He tied it at my living room table the night before... ;-)

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
