Merry Christmas 2015
Another year with GFF has passed and it's time to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
has been quite busy on the Global FlyFisher. Most of you who are returning visitors have long ago noticed that things have changed. Not only does the site have an all new look, but the system behind has changed too.
The publishing pace went down a bit in the transition, but will be picking up again. As always I plan on doing some articles during the Christmas holiday and I have a few books, a video or two and some materials that will form the base for some pattern and tying articles.
And as always
I will garnish this article with some images from my large stash. Winter images I think. Digging around a bit I found a suitable handful. A little fishing, some landscapes and a couple from winter in my neighborhood. Right now it might be December, but it's not exactly winter. Temperatures are in the 8-12 deg C range (in the 50's F) and it hasn't really been cold at any point during the autumn or winter until now, meaning that the sea is the same temperature, making it very good fishing weather. Fish are still caught all around, and even though the weather has been pretty gray and windy, people have been fishing – and catching – coastal sea trout all through December. There's no reason to think that January will be any worse the way thing are looking right now. Not that I expect to be out much. I have become a fair weather fisherman, and invest my fishing time wisely these days.
is still chugging away and serving pages at a higher speed and rate than ever. The move has been a good one, and the server is better than anything we've ever had. We've had slightly busier times, but still manage to serve 4-500,000 pages a month to some 3,000 daily visitors.
If you feel like
having your stuff presented to this impressing crowd, feel free to contact me. Patterns, stories, tying tips, chapters from your new book. I'm always on the lookout for new content, and if you know your way around a camera and can put words together to make sense, please exercise your skills on doing fishing tips and step by step instructions for the Global FlyFisher.
out of the way, I will wish all the thousand of Global FlyFisher visitors a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and all the best, tight lines, sharp hook points and plenty big and/or exiting fish in the coming year.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
