This is the online version of a book I published back in 2010.
I have decided to publish all the images from my self-published book “Seatrout! Pictures of a Passion” here on the Global FlyFisher. The book isn’t selling much these days ... if at all ... so I might as well use its contents to give you something nice to look at.
The book is still available to buy if you feel like it. Don’t do it for my sake, because I make no money on the sales. Buy it because you want a beautiful book, with nice pictures printed on paper.
If you want to support this site, there are better ways to do that.
The book is divided into sections, and I have decided to make an article – a small gallery – from each section. You will find links to them below. The links go live as the different parts get published. You can see the planned publishing date next to each if it hasn't been published yet. The first section is ready when this intro goes online, and the rest will go public with about a week’s interval.
If you are a longtime reader of this site, you will have seen many of the images before, but here they are gathered by subject as they are in the book. I have also added some extra pictures to some of the sections. There's a pretty large raw material to choose from.
Pictures of a Passion
This was written on the backside of the book.
The book focuses on his home waters and day-to-day fishing for sea run trout and features beautiful images of fly anglers, fish, gear, water, landscapes and much more.
From the dust jacket
If you ordered the book in hardcover with a dust jacket, you also got this text:
Well, that’s me …
I’m Martin Joergensen, a Danish fly fisherman, photographer and author, probably best known for my involvement with the web site The Global FlyFisher (globalflyfisher.com), which I founded with good friend Steve Schweitzer and now run together with Steve and two other friends; Bob Petti and Kasper Mühlbach.
I have authored countless articles online and in print media as well as contributed to fly fishing and fly tying books.
This book is a celebration of my favorite fishing, the pursuit of sea run brown trout in my home waters.
The book has many photos and very few words, and it is definitely not a how-to book, but rather an attempt to convey some of the fantastic experiences this fish has given me over the years.
This book was made to capitalize a bit on the huge archive of sea trout fishing pictures that I have shot over the years.
I have been fishing and taking pictures longer than I care to admit.
I do sell pictures to magazines and use a lot of the images on the web site The Global FlyFisher, which I created and maintain together with fly fishing friends and with the aide and material from a lot of contributors.
The site has been soooo much fun to run during the last 15 years, but has also cost us a lot of money. Web traffic and server space is not free.
So this book is supposed to make a little money and maybe cover just a bit of these past and future expenses.
Visit globalflyfisher.com/books for more information.
Thanks for your support.

It didn’t make money
The book never made any money as already noted, so so much for that. I don’t think it ever sold as much as 5 copies to anybody else but myself, and there hasn’t been any sales for years.
It was fun to make, and I have ordered many copies myself and given them away as gifts – and of course have my personal copy in the shelf behind me.
Seatrout! Chapters from the book.
