Girdle Bug

No comments yet

Although the largest trout often feed on baitfish, a heavy smaller nymph can be really effective to make contact with them. The classic yet simple Girdle Bug with the white lively rubber legs can really be effective – whether it's smaller trout in small creeks to the very large sea run brown trouts in the big rivers of Argentina. In this video, we have the skilled fly fisherman and fly tyer Casper Hansen to demonstrate his favorite fly for Patagonia's largest trout. Feel free to tie it in smaller sizes and discover how effective it can be.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
