Gold Ribbed Hares Ear Soft Hackle

No comments yet

The soft hackle hare's ear is a classic nymph pattern for a reason. Its impressionistic nature allows it to look nothing and everything all at the same time. Trout can mistake it for lots of different food items which means that they often do. Eric Naguski (www.riseformsflyfishing.com) is the author of "50 Essential Patterns from Local Experts" and will in this flytying tutorial demonstrate his bid on a soft hackle hares ear, a brilliant pattern for trout and graylings.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
